BROMSGROVE SCHOOL - A GOOD SCHOOL BY ANY STANDARD

Moral, confident, happy young people who can look you in the eye and leave this ancient School wanting to make a difference for the better. That’s what Bromsgrove is about.

Seniors

Bromsgrove received more Good School Guide Awards for AS and A2 academic performance than any other coeducational school in Britain this year, and the report went on to say that as a result of outstanding leadershipBromsgrove inhabits the academic stratospheregames are outstanding .. all departments are strong.  But what the most respected objective reports cannot quantify is the titanic breadth afforded by a unique timetable. Bromsgrove operates a huge optional Saturday programme (which many hundreds opt into), run competitive sport at all levels (local, national and international), enjoy a phenomenal arts scene and inculcate an inclusive, purposeful atmosphere that contributed hugely to both Prep and Senior Schools boarding provision receiving OFSTED’s highest accolade – “outstanding” - this year.

Among its fifteen hundred children aged 7-18, five hundred years old Bromsgrove has over four hundred boarding pupils.  The School offers a home, not a place to sleep after work. The houses are different, as boarding houses in the best schools should be, but there are core values and structures shared by all.  Each house has resident Houseparents and a dedicated tutor team. The school has a team of dedicated nurses who, under the control of the School Doctor, provide on-site medical care in the School’s Health Centre.  Pupils enjoy high quality varied food from chefs preparing three good meals a day.
