The School

  • Enviable location in 260 acres of Park near Reigate
  • Committed to fostering Christian principles within a caring community, where all faiths and beliefs are made welcome

The Results

  • Excellent results, with 78% of Year 11 children achieving 5GCSEs at grade A* - C in 2007. A great achievement for a non-selective school
  • Best in Surrey for contextual value added in 2006 and 2007

The Curriculum

  • Broad and balanced curriculum
  • Average class size of around 24 children in Secondary and 26 in Primary
  • Wide range of extra-curricular activities including kayaking, Scouts, archery, dance, fishing, cookery, as well as the more traditional sports
  • Designated Sports College with aims to improve performance, participation, leadership and encourage healthy lifestyles

The Boarding Experience

  • High percentage of boarders. Over 400 of the 760 pupils are boarders
  • Purpose-built boarding houses that create a 'home from home' for children
  • Continuity from age 7 to 18
  • Wonderful parkland environment complete with riding stables

Admission

Year 7 and Year 9 (Age 11+ and 13+)

  • Most new boarding pupils start at age 11 though for 2008 there are extra places available at 13+. Early application is advisable.

Years 3-6 and Year 8

  • Occasionally spaces become available so parents are welcome to apply

Sixth Form

  • Due to pressure on places from our own pupils we are unable to consider external applicants.

The Royal Alexandra and Albert School has experienced extraordinary success over the last few years. Excellent results combined with affordable fees have made this the first choice for many parents seeking a boarding education for their child.

As a result of increasing demand, in September 2008 more places are being made available for boarders to join in Year 7 and Year 9.
