Girls Independent Day and Boarding School 3 - 18 years.

The Royal School is ideally located in London and enjoys pleasant surroundings in Hampstead which maintains a village atmosphere in the north west of London. The location is not only convenient for many educational trips and boarding outings, but also for parents living and working in London.

We offer all our pupils the chance to enjoy their education now and to develop into confident citizens in the future.

By providing a happy, dynamic and vibrant school with a very full range of academic opportunities and extra curricular activities, we aim to ensure that every pupil achieves her full potential. As a small school we are able to offer a high level of individual attention and positive help.

Early Years

The Early Years programme provides 3 - 5 year olds with a firm foundation on which to build a successful education. Exclusively offering only 14 -16 places each in both the Nursery and Reception years, our teachers deliver an exciting, play-based curriculum within a happy and vibrant community.

Junior School

Our dedicated team of teaching staff and our small class sizes provide pupils with the opportunity to develop a variety of skills, thus facilitating the fulfillment of their potential in academic, creative, artistic and sporting capacities. We offer a wide range of opportunities, specialist teaching and exciting experiences across the curriculum.

ISI Inspection Report June 2004

"Educational standards and quality of Education judged excellent."

"A rich and exciting curriculum delivered through inspirational teaching."

"An opportunity for learning is never missed."

Senior School

Pupils are offered a broad and balanced curriculum at Key Stage 3, which leads them to take responsibility for their own study whilst providing much individual care and attention. They are also encouraged to join in extra curriculum activities and contribute positively to the whole life of the school. They are offered a wide variety of choice of subjects for GCSE and A Level and benefit greatly from small group teaching in a caring environment.

Sixth Form

Tutorial groups in a separate building are the normal mode of teaching in the 6th Form. Our students enjoy a comfortable environment with excellent facilities to support learning as well as common rooms and an exciting enrichment programme.

Students are encouraged to apply for, and are prepared for, higher education.

ISI Inspection Report June 2004

"The way in which the School nurtures pupils' self-confidence and self-worth is much appreciated by pupils and parents."
